The grinder pump system is comprised of three major components:
- tank
- grinder pump
- control panel box
The tank collects the raw sewage from your home. The grinder pump inside the tank grinds the solid materials and pumps the wastewater from your tank into the Authority’s collection system. You as the property owner are responsible for the building sewer line (from the curbstop to the dwelling), which includes the operation, maintenance and/or replacement of the grinder pump system and appurtenances.
