- Limit all water usage until your plumber diagnoses and services the grinder pump. Depending upon how full the tank is and how soon your plumber can get there, you may need to consider having the tank pumped out to avoid an overflow.
- Failure to react to an alarm could result in a sewer backup in your home.
- We recommend that you contact a plumber who is familiar with and knows how to work on the type of grinder pump system you have (Environmental One of Hydromatic). When a grinder pump goes into alarm it can be due to numerous reasons and may require some troubleshooting to determine the nature or cause of the problem.
- Plumbers listed below have shown an interest in servicing grinder pumps for HTMA customers and they have attended training provided by the respective manufacturer's representative. HTMA does not recommend or endorse any particular plumber/contractor. It is the property owner's responsibility to independently check references.
Do you have a backup plan in the event your plumber is unavailable or away on vacation when you need them? Most plumbers will not provide emergency service if you are not already an established customer or they may require payment at the time of service.
